Today, the Mission feeds and shelters over 300 clients per day. Literally thousands of men, women, and children have been helped through the Mission’s programs. At CVRM, the homeless, abused, addicted, and needy have a place where physical, spiritual, and developmental needs are met. The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission has been and is a place where people can be rescued, recovered, and restored to the life they desire.
Our Annex was completed in 2015, including a non-emergency medical clinic operated by Health to Hope. Our Gateway and New Life Programs have continued to develop and flourish, having an over 80% rate of success. Our new facility was built and completed in November 2011, with 150 resident beds and an emergency overnight shelter with a capacity of 75. Property was purchased across the street from the Mission, and in 2007 we started our Building New Beginnings Capital Campaign.
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven to the right hand of the Father and in His personal, visible return to this earth. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, and the authoritative rule of faith and practice. Please contact me for a visit, a tour or just to talk. I would be honored to meet every person reading this. The fellowship within our team of volunteers, residents and staff leads to strong, forever friendships.īecause of you, our doors are open, our plates and hearts are filled with faith and hope. Our programs are strong, structured and vital. Food, shelter and clothing are just the beginning. In all things, we know Christ Jesus is with us in our daily work, we seek joy in all things through Him. We do have an onsite Housing Department and are doing all we can to get them rehoused in affordable housing. These past several months, we have helped an unusually high amount of seniors in need who lost housing due to high rental costs, this is a very real and heartbreaking issue in our valley.
New life program at the mission full#
Many of these people chose to come to CVRM for full programs, and we are grateful to be here for them. This allowed us to care for 190 hurting people in need. Partnering with the County of Riverside, we opened three new Cooling Centers in Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City and Palm Springs. At CV Rescue Mission we consider these new people and children blessings! As of today, all of our family rooms and single beds are full again. All have moved on (or are very near) to being independently employed and living independently.Īs quickly as beds become available, they are filled. We celebrate the blessing of lives changed in our programs. On September 26, we will have graduation in our multi-purpose room. I’m grateful summer is closing out and the beauty of Autumn is here.
